Recently we were pleased to receive a review of the Samsonite Cosmolite 4 wheel spinner lightweight suitcase.
We've reproduced what the review in full below:
The
Samsonite Cosmolite has an elegant, unique design which was easy to spot on the
luggage carousel at the airports. The suitcase itself was extremely lightweight
when empty for a strong hard sided suitcase, which meant that I could make the
most of my luggage allowance and could bring back gifts without having to pay
for excess baggage! The interior of the case is rather basic, yet practical,
with a large zipped compartment in the ‘lid’ and packing straps in the ‘main’
compartment. This allows the case to be even lighter- the 75cm case weighs only
2.81 kilos. The secret of the Cosmolite’s lightness is down to the material it
is made from: Curv ®. This means that the case is not only very light, but
strong too. The Cosmolite glided effortlessly on four wheel and was able to
cope with a wide variety of terrains. It was great to have the flexibility to
walk beside the case, or to pull it behind you on two wheels. In addition, the
case had a built in TSA combination lock which meant that my belongings were
secure and the case could easily be opened and relocked by American security.
The only downside to the Cosmolite is that the shiny exterior may get slightly
scratched and scuffed, but this is a minor issue. Overall, the Samsonite
Cosmolite is everything you would want in a suitcase, at a reasonable price for
the quality one receives.
