When choosing your new shredder decide between strip cut (cuts the A4 sheet into thin strips top to bottom) or cross cut (a second set of cutters cuts these strips into shorter lengths to form 'pellets'. Cross cut gives you a higher level of security.
Don't forget that the shredder manufacturers work out the machine's capacity using thinner paper than you'll probably be shredding - we always recommend halving the stated capacities in one pass. None of the machines we hold in stock are designed to run more than about 5 minutes without a break, so if you have a lot to shred then patience is a must! If you jam or damage your shredder through overloading or over running the guarantee will not be able to help you - so please always follow our advice.
